Mayoon

Mayoon is also known as Ubtan day, which is symbolized with yellow and green color. It is interesting to know that in Pakistan, Mayoon is known for different names in different regions. On this day, the bride and groom celebrate the event with their families and friends. The celebration includes dancing, singing, etc. Beside this, all the people prefer to wear yellow and green color in Mayoon.

Mehndi

Mehndi is the second day of celebration in a Pakistani shadi. The celebrations of Mehndi also include dancing and singing but on this day, bride and groom put designs of Mehndi on their hands and feet. This is the reason due to which Mehndi is also known as Heena day. Mehndi day is considered very important in a Pakistan wedding because on this day, the families of bride and groom exchange the wedding dresses of bride and groom.

Shadi and Nikah

Third day, the shadi day is important day as on this day the legal paperwork take place in the presence of a lawyer, whichis known as Nikkah. Red is the color of Shadi day. Moreover, you can see elegant jewelry on the bride with her beautiful red gown. On this day, the family of groom visits the place of the bride to take her with them to her new home. Different rituals are performed on the Shadi day in different regions. The most common ritual is “Jota Chupai”. In this ritual, the sisters of bride hide the shoes of groom and ask for money to return his shoes. This money is known as “Naig” in Pakistan, which is equally distributed in all the sisters and cousins of bride.

Valima

Valima is the fourth and final day of celebration in a Pakistani Shadi. In this event, the family of groom invites the family of bride for lunch or dinner.  Both the families enjoy the time together and capture photographs to make the event more memorable.
