Inter-caste marriage is a term for a marriage where the couple are from two social groups, e.g., different races, clans or castes. These marriages are usually caused by love but there are also cases where the groom or the bride want an inter caste marriage and seek so through the various marriage portals available. India has seen an alarmingly rise in these marriages mostly because of its diversity and religious differences. Each and every religion in this country has their own rituals and customs. When two people of different castes get married, it is called an inter caste marriage. The rituals followed in these marriages are usually conducted with mutual consent. Not just in India but several countries have seen inter caste marriage and those marriages have been accepted unlike before when inter caste marriage was a taboo. Inter caste brides are typical brides who love to look their best on their wedding day. There are many marriages that take place following only the groom's side of rituals and then there are marriages that follow the bride's side of rituals. There also have been cases where both side rituals have been followed i.e. the couple have married twice following both the caste's customs. For example, if a there was a marriage between a Sikh and a Bengali they both could choose which custom to follow. They could either follow Sikh rituals or Bengali rituals or both. The brides usually go through the basic routine of shopping and make up, be it any caste.
