Pals are a subcategory of Hindus. They are proud warriors who felt happy about protecting the society where they are living in. They went to wars with the single aim to destroy the enemy. They protected the cities and places where people lived. They ensured that enemies can't touch any person or resource in their land and this differentiated Pals from any other society. Traditionally,Pals were warriors who joined armies and were the first one to nominate themselves when there is a need. Today they are working on various other activities as well, they study well and earn high marks, they go to work and start their own businesses. But whatever they do, they ensure that they don't shy away from wrongdoings and are proud to ask why certain things are done certain way and why not some other way. This gives them a huge respect in the society. They are living in the Indian states of Rajasthan and Haryana. They are also present in small numbers in other states. They speak various languages and different subsections have different habits, but in general, they are proud to be part of this community and live as an example to others. Pals matrimony process starts with a parent preparing a profile of the boy or the girl who he / she feels has achieved the marriage age. This is then distributed to number of people who will in turn take it to other families who are looking for a suitable match for their kids. Once a good match is seen, the families meet and decide on marriage steps, which is planned as per the customs of Pal community.
