People say that marriages are made in heaven and so do I believe. Marriages are an integral part in any family, society and community. Be it any caste or religion, people have their own styles and rules to perform the marriage ceremony. Marriages are celebrated with full pomp and extravagancy in India. The occasions have different rituals, feasts and fanfare which people enjoy and a lot. I also got an opportunity to see a marriage recently and I was stunned to see the lavishness which it had along with the simplicity. My friend had asked to come to her cousin's marriage and I got ready to go. In the evening I reached the venue and my friend received me. The arrangements were so grand that my eyes got wide looking it. Then she took me to her cousin and she was so beautifully dressed. I thought Jain brides had a different charm which I could see at her cousin's face. Her dress was very beautiful and her jewelry and make up was all in sync. We peeped out through the window as the 'Baraat' had come to see the groom and he equally was looking handsome. I congratulated her cousin for such a handsome guy. She was very happy. The ceremony took place as per the Jain VivahVidhi which is the holy book of Jains for carrying out marriages. The rituals were going on and we took our dinner which was again remarkable. I asked my friend for a leave after a few hours. It was a great day for me.
