Sindhis are known as Sanatani Hindus and hence follow the Vedic rituals in their marriage ceremonies. As Sindhis are known as blend of Hindus and sufi culture therefore, they are not very stringent as that of Hindus are in their culture, rituals and traditions. Sindhis also decide their auspicious day of marriage using astrology dates, days and timings. Many term Sindhi marriage as Gudhuro marriage. There are certain pre-marriage rituals of Sindhi marriage ceremony which can be enlisted here: Kachhi Mishri:This is the foundation of happy and long lasting married life between Sindhi groom and bride. According to this ritual, the family of Sindhi bride visit Sindhi grooms' house and gifts him with mishri as a token of accepting boy as a groom for their daughter. Pakki Mishri: According to this ritual there is a formal announcement of marriage ceremony in which Sindhi grooms and brides exchange rings and hence called engaged from then onwards. This ritual also involves giving gifts to sindhi groom which may include clothes, accessories etc. Tih: This ritual takes place just a day before the marriage where the priest from bride's house visit the grooms place with gifts and goods like coconut, rice, dates, sweets etc. and then they all worship Lord Ganesha. The priest keep these gifts in the lap of the Sindhi groom and offer a paper on which the timings of the marriage is written which is duly accepted by groom and his family members. This later ends with taking blessings with his parents and priest.
